In 1973 Congress authorized the Endangered Species Act (ESA) – perhaps the most important piece of environmental legislation ever passed in the United States. Forty-six years later this law has saved over 90% of all species that were listed as endangered. To celebrate this milestone, attend this evening lecture by Jeff Maugans, retired Rocky Mountain National Park naturalist. Success stories as well as continuing issues and concerns will be discussed during this audio-visual event.
